By now I’m sure that everyone is aware that the start of the school year has been pushed back by two weeks. Teachers will report August 17th and students first day will be August 24th. Masks for all students above grade 2nd grade will be required to wear a mask.
In an effort to be as responsive as possible, the school district is offering three distinct learning platforms. Traditional in person school, campus e-school, which is tethered to the traditional school, and very structured, this option will require a quarterly commitment. The third choice is full time virtual for the entire school year. The Polk County School Board website offers in-depth explanations of each option, as well as a list of FAQ’s. All of the information can be found here.
Families must complete a school intent registration form by July 27th. The link for the survey can be found here.
