It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! While school teachers deserve appreciation all year, this week is a national opportunity to show appreciation for spending the year teaching our kids.
To our local teachers, we say THANK YOU; today and every day!
Check out these seven gift ideas your teachers will love:
1) Send a Thank You Card or Email
Write a handwritten note (or email) from you and/or your child. If you have a child too young to write one by themselves, have them help you write one.
2) Post a Public Thank You on Social
Post your thank you on social media. Use the hashtag #thankateacher on Instagram, Facebook, or other socials to join in on the national Teacher Appreciation movement.
3) Create artwork for the Teacher
Have your child create a special piece of artwork as a gift. They could draw or paint a picture or create some other form of art.
4) Let your Child Pick Out a Gift for the Teacher
Let your child choose a small gift they think their teacher will enjoy.
5) Gift Cards
We all enjoy gift cards; whether they’re to our favorite store or restaurant. Either purchase a general gift card that will allow your child’s teacher to pick out their gift, or choose one to a popular restaurant you think they’ll enjoy.
6) Arrange a lunch delivery or bring them morning coffee
Bring your child’s teacher a cup of coffee or have lunch delivered for them one day this week.
7) Teacher supplies, books, or activities for the classroom
Supplies are always a fun gift idea. Donate a book for their in-class library, colorful pens, or other supplies that they could use for the next school year.
