Girl Scouts is where girls discover who they are, build confidence, and find the courage to try something new. Whether she's selling cookies, earning her first badge, leading a service project, or making lifelong friends, every Girl Scout experience helps girls grow into capable leaders ready to make a difference.

Adventure is at the heart of the Girl Scout experience. At summer camp, girls connect with nature as they kayak, paddleboard, ride horses, soar down a zipline, conquer a challenge course, and explore the outdoors. These experiences build resilience, independence, and confidence while creating memories they'll carry with them for years to come.

Girl Scouts also gives girls opportunities to serve their communities in meaningful ways. Through hands-on service projects, girls identify needs, take action, and create lasting change. The highest achievement in Girl Scouting, the Gold Award, empowers girls to solve real-world problems while developing leadership, project management, and teamwork skills.
One inspiring example is Girl Scout Shea. For her Gold Award project, Shea combined her passion for sea turtle conservation with a desire to support children facing medical challenges. She partnered with the Children's Cancer Center to host interactive workshops where participants learned about all seven species of sea turtles while creating ocean-themed projects that encouraged hope, strength, and perseverance. Shea led a team of 26 volunteers and coordinated more than 360 hours of service. She distributed 61 Shell Buddy Boxes to children in treatment and their siblings and reached more than 1,900 people through community events. She also created educational videos, designed a Girl Scout patch earned by more than 115 participants, and developed resources that will continue educating youth through the Gulf Youth Ambassador program. Her project demonstrates how one Girl Scout can create a lasting impact in her community.
Leadership grows in many ways throughout Girl Scouts. Girls build business skills through the Cookie Program by setting goals, managing money, making decisions, and communicating with customers. They can use their cookie proceeds to fund troop adventures, travel, camp experiences, and exciting opportunities that broaden their horizons. Along the way, they learn valuable life skills that prepare them for success long after their Girl Scout years.
Most importantly, Girl Scouts is a place where every girl belongs. She can be herself, discover new interests, make lifelong friendships, and gain the confidence to lead in her own way. Every adventure, every challenge, and every accomplishment helps her realize just how much she's capable of. Join Girl Scouts and discover where her next adventure can take her.
